Review: B.liv Off With Those Heads Blackhead Sebum Gel

Hello everyone! Can't believe I've been gone for more than 4 months :O

I had stopped writing any beauty post a long time ago because I thought (and still do) that my beauty reviews were somehow not really that good (?) and I enjoy writing nail art posts more. But a few weeks ago, b.liv offered me the opportunity to review one of their most popular products, so I thought, why not give it another try? I would love to know what you think, would you like me to post more beauty articles or should I just post nail-related articles? Let me know! Leave me a comment below now! Quick! I'll wait here!

Ok now, here's some information regarding b.liv off with those heads from their website.

Say goodbye to painful squeezing! This light cooling gel promises to easily remove stubborn blackheads and whiteheads in just 14 days of daily application. It keeps excessive oil secretion under control while preventing future irritation and breakouts.

Benefit :
• Removes blackheads and whiteheads
• Keeps acne under control
• Controls oil
• Unclogs pores
• Provides a gentle exfoliation
• Has soothing and hydrating properties

Promising, huh? I'm expecting a lot from this product

See the box? You think it looks a little plain? Wait until you hold it in your hand. The box is actually so cool! It's a silver box with all the ingredients on the back and covered by some kind of hard plastic that bear the brand in the front, and has transparent part where you can see the inner silver box bearing the name of the product. The effect it gives is just awesome, I don't think I've seen anything like it before.

The pump bottle has a white cap but somehow I failed to capture it .___.

The pump is fantastic! You can absolutely control the amount of product you wanna use, it's very easy to maneuver. Who can resist a good pump bottle? Definitely not me.. Overall very well made packaging.

The texture is a light gel with minty scent, reminds me a little of gel toothpaste, but don't worry it's not that strong and will be gone seconds after it's absorbed. And IT IS ABSORBED REALLY FAST! Caps are necessary here. My skin absorbs it in like, 5 seconds, no kidding. It leaves a cool feeling afterwards. The box said that those with sensitive skin may experience mild stinging sensations. I only feel cool. Pun intended.

As you can see it is absorbed completely, doesn't leave residue or greasy feeling whatsoever. I actually expected it to be drying since it dries so fast with cool sensation (like alcohol) but apparently it's not drying at all. Not sure about hydrating though, I always apply moisturizer after so I can't say anything on that matter.

As for the precaution, my skin did produce more oil on the first 2 days then went back to normal (I have normal skin type).

Here's a before-after picture. For the after picture, I have used b.liv off with those heads for 2 weeks straight, once or twice a day. It doesn't help much with blackheads but that's because I didn't have many to begin with, same goes for whiteheads. However I do find that my pores are smoother and significantly less visible, thus smoother nose! And I find it also helped extracting sebum from an old acne scar on my cheek which is a pleasant surprise.

B.liv off with those heads (30 ml) retails for USD $49

If you're interested, then I have a good news for ya! B.liv is coming to Indonesia! I don't know when exactly but while we're waiting, you might as well join them on Facebook or give their website a visit ;)

I heard they're giving away free samples of b.liv off with those heads on Facebook, so you might wanna go there, like, right now!

White on White Floral Nails

Hello beautiful!

Today I have a nail art that has been in draft forever and I think I skipped it somehow. This one is kind of bridally. Oh yeah that's actually a word, I checked.

ANYWAY, I just did white flowers on pearly white base (I used 3 coats of Revlon Pure Pearl here) and then drew filigrees in between. In the middle of the flowers I just used whitish opalescent hexagon glitter.

I hope you liked it and have a great day everyone! XOXO ♥

Silver Filigrees with Sequins from Born Pretty Store

Hello cutie pies!

Today I have a review of the sequins I got from Born Pretty Store as I have mentioned here.

I got 12 jars of glitters and they come in a range of colors and finishes; some are semi-transparent and opalescent, others are opaque and metallic. Some of them has that holographic quality going on, like the one I used here although unfortunately it doesn't really show in most of the pictures. They're much more holographic in real life!

For these nails I used OPI Black Onyx as the base, and drew the filigrees with Sally Hansen Celeb City. To stick the glitters and the final top coat I used Revlon Super Top Speed Top Coat. No need to use nail glue for these glitters because as long as you put a few layers of top coat over them, you're safe! I applied three coats of final top coat because Revlon's top coat is quite watery. For some reasons my Seche Vite won't work with these glitters, so if you have troubles with the glitters curling upwards after top coat, don't lose hope! Try to use a different brand of top coat.

The glitters are consistent in shape and size, so far I haven't found any misshapen glitter piece.

Below is my best attempt at capturing the holographic quality of the glitters. Keep in mind the holo is much stronger and prettier than it looks in the pictures!

If you're interested in these glitters, you can purchase them from You'll get 12 jars of different colors of glitters for only $14.04!

ME-Nail's Products Review

Hello cotton candies!

I haven't been posting a review in a long time! Today I'm gonna be reviewing nail products sent by ME-Nail to me for review.

ME-Nail is a nail art salon based in Surabaya, Indonesia, and they offer a wide range of nail care and nail art services. They also sell nail polish and nail art supplies on site. Not located in Surabaya? No worries, they sell online too and they ship worldwide!

First I need to apologize for not taking a picture of the products in neat packs before I open them because when I got them (or any package, actually), I got wild and tore them all open like a wild bear in a salmon pond. Ok no need to visualize that. Anyway, my package was similar with what my nail besties Sovi and Victo got, only different colors and 3D deco shapes. Check their review too! Well, maybe after you read mine :P

I also had to cheat by using fake nail on my index finger because that nail broke and I don't have the heart to cut them all to nubs :'( but don't worry, other than the index finger everything is au naturel :)

BK Glitter Top Coat
The glitter topper I got contains matte white and metallic purple hexagon glitters, white bar glitters, and small white matte glitters suspended in a clear base. The base is in perfect consistency, not thick nor watery. Application was easy, no need to fish for the glitters but a little dabbing is necessary to avoid clumping. Drying time was average. The amount of glitters is perfect to be a glitter top coat, it's not so dense that you can't see the base color, but there are plenty enough glitters and one coat is all you need. I used one coat over a light lilac undie for the pictures.

Bow Nail Jewel
I love the nail jewel! So clear, so sparkly! You need to apply this with a nail glue because it is quite large. I applied a dot of glue at the center of the backside of the jewel and stuck it on to my nail and pressed until the glue had dried. Afterwards I applied Seche Vite all around it and on the rest of my nails. It stayed put quite strongly for 2 days until I wash my hair haha. I'm pretty sure if you wear gloves before washing your hair it will stay put longer, I'd say for a week but that's just a ballpark figure, and it also depends on your activities and the glue you use. And it's reusable! Yay!

Striping Tape
The striping tape I got has kind of holographic pattern going on. It can be used like I did here or as a stencil. It works fine and I have no complaint about it.

The rhinestones that I got also have decent quality. Have you ever had that issue with some rhinestones, sometimes they became bubbly on the surface and/or weirdly blurry and not shiny anymore after top coat? That's not a problem with these ones. These rhinestones stays shiny and bright after top coat.

There is one more item from ME-Nail that I haven't used, pink 3D bow decoration, but because it's pink, I'll save it for later ;)

Wrapped Gift Nail Art

Hello everyone! My mid-term exams start in 2 days so this is the perfect time for me to procrastinate and write a quick blog post :P. Oh and I hope you liked the new header :D

These nails were from last Christmas, hence the colors and design. I incorporated my 2 all-time favorite colors here, China Glaze Ruby Pumps which is the most gorgeous shade of deep glittery red, and OPI Goldeneye, shiny gold flecks in a clear base. They're made for each other, to say the least.

I wish my lines were thinner but it'll do. These were very easy and quick, since I was in the middle of final exams.. Or probably not, I totally forgot (rhymes!).

I hope you liked them and wish me luck for my exams, love! Have a great day! XOXO ♥

Gold Filigrees over Zoya Charla

Hello marshmallows!

First I'm sorry about the header, I know I need to start working on it real soon. Today I'm gonna share a nail art that I made ages ago, it seems.. These are just simple gold filigrees over Zoya Charla (which is really pretty in real life, pictures just don't do any justice to colors like this). The color is actually greener in real life and the shimmer is so pretty!

I love how the filigrees turn out but I just couldn't seem to photograph it right. Oh well..
I hope you guys like it and have a great day! XOXO ♥
